During one of the hottest days during our British summer solstice what a day we had a day from start to finish photographing Jo & Nick's wedding at Wyresdale Park, Scorton.
Jo & Nick Married at St. Peters Church, Scorton, Lancashire and their Reception was at Wyresdale Park, Scorton. "We chose this venue a year ago when there were, at the time, sheep were still in the current bar area! We bought into their vision.. and were very lucky and happy with the outcome! We chose it as it was an empty canvas in which we could make the day our own."
"We also loved the glamping idea, it was perfect, many of our friends stayed in the tents and had a blast." Jo
Jo got ready at the North Wing at Wyresdale park which was brilliant for all the girls getting ready! The dress was from Blush Brides in Poulton. "I went into 1 shop and bought the 2nd dress I tried on. Mainly lace and ivory, I always new I wanted some lace on my dress and felt amazing on the day. I was lucky enough to have my Nana to buy my dress for me."
The boys were larking about and were controlling the nerves well as they made their way to the Church. The Church was filled with incense and it added to the emotional Atmosphere.! It was stunning inside!
The sun carried on shining as we made our way to Wyresdale Park, what a venue! The barn had been transformed! "Gemma at Bluebells and Daisies was amazing, helped design the whole barn and provide all flowers. " Jo
The colour scheme was light and airy. Creams and elements of blush were placed together so elegantly!
Jo & Nick wanted "Just a laidback rural rustic atmosphere, we love the outdoors and wanted relaxed vibes. Most of the wedding was outdoors, the weather allowed us to have the perfect day. The lawn allowed for everyone to enjoy the sun, relax on hay barrels and play games which is what we wanted.
Then out of nowhere the chickens decided to gatecrash the speeches! They wanted to try and steal the show! This is where this venue is so amazing, a relaxed barn with a homely feel.
After the speeches we whisked Jo and Nick away for some photographs, we don't take too much time as we like you to spend the majority of your day enjoying every second with your guests, plus there are two of us so you are getting a wonderful variety. The grounds had so much to offer and in the soft light as the sun went down we utilised as much natural light as we could.
It was time to PARTYYYYYY! The sun was setting, they hired the Deadbeats "They were amazing for the whole day, mixture of live sets, DJ’ing and busking style music on the lawn." They also were joined by Lytham Fizz. "They also did amazing and loved the way they presented their drinks on the lawn in a rustic style bike." Jordy's pizza brought their wood fired pizza so the whole place smelt amazing!
An amazing day from start to finish, we left them partying well into the night!
